Pre-School Handbook

Lunch and Snacks

Children attending our afternoon CARES/Enrichment program should be prepared to eat lunch at school.  Parents must provide lunch, drinks and napkins.

Snack time is an important part of a Pre-schooler's day.  A daily snack is provided by our school (such as crackers, goldfish, pretzels, graham crackers, vanilla wafers).  We ask parents to supply the juice.

Each child should bring in two large bottles or cans of juice during the first week of each month.  Please refer to the monthly calendars for details.  If a child has a specific food allergy, parents should alert the school and classroom teacher; in such a case it will be necessary for parents to provide an alternative snack for their child.

Medications

During school hours, only medication which is absolutely necessary will be given during the day.  Whenever possible, parents are requested to administer medications to their children at home.

Tuition

A yearly tuition is determined and payments can be made in full or over a 10-month period.  Tuition is used to pay expenses of the pre-school.  for this reason, full payments are expected regardless of days missed due to absence, inclement weather, holy days, holiday, etc.  Prompt payment is expected and the pre-school reserves the right to charge a late fee when necessary.

Toilet Training

At OLHC our children need to be toilet trained and be able to take care of their personal needs.  If a bathroom mishap occurs, parents will be called to come and change the child.  If the parent is unavailable, the child will be changed at school by the teacher with the child' permission.
