Pre-School Handbook

Admission Policies

Our Lady Help of Christians Pre-school admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students.

The parents/guardians desire a Catholic education for their children and will allow their children to study the Catholic Faith and participate in all para-liturgical services according to the school calendar.

The parents/guardians agree to cooperate and uphold the rules and regulations of the school and will pay the stated or agrees upon tuition fees.

The child must be 3 years of age by September 10th and toilet trained for the 3 Year Old Classes, and 4 years old by September 10th for the 4 Year Old Classes.

Prior to admission the following documents must be presented:

  • Application for admission

  • Directory/Photo Permission Form

  • Emergency/Information Form

  • Registration Deposit

Parents are asked to inform school officials immediately of any testing (psychological, physical, learning disability, etc.) that has been done for the child.  All information will be held in confidence.

Arrival and Departure 9:00 - 11:30 AM

Please be prompt when arriving at school.  Children should arrive 5 minutes before class begins (8:55 AM).  Parents should park their cars on Crater Road and walk their children to the classroom.  You can enter the building from the front door (Crater Road) or the side door (Marian Road).  No child is permitted in the classroom before the designated starting time.  The CARES program is available, for an additional fee, for early arrivals or for students remaining after their scheduled session.  For security reasons all doors are locked at 9:10 AM and remain locked until 11:25 AM.

Parents should be prompt when picking up their child.  A late fee will be charged for late pick-ups.  Children will be dismissed only to a parent or designated adult.  If someone other than the parent is picking up your child, please inform the teacher in writing.  Unfamiliar persons will be asked to provide identification to insure the safety of your child.
