H. DRESS CODE Neatness and cleanliness in personal attire are part of a child’s education and the responsibility of the parents. When a child looks and feels good about himself/herself, he/she acts and works accordingly. Any student not in compliance with the dress code will receive a demerit. Personal appearance which constitutes a distraction is not permitted. Final approval/ disapproval is at the discretion of the Principal. Our uniforms are supplied by: B. D. Rose & Company 2132 Moreland Road Willow Grove, PA. 19090 Uniforms must be worn on the first day of school. The official period for summer uniform (optional) is from the opening of school until the third Monday of October; and from the third Monday of April until the last day of school. The official period for the winter uniform is the third Monday of October until the third Monday of April. Boys: or Navy (no elastic at the ankles), yellow shirt and school tie, dark green V-neck pullover sweater vest or long sleeve sweater mandatory for winter uniform, white or dark socks, a belt, and Docksiders or black tie oxford shoes. or Navy (no elastic at the ankles), yellow polo shirt with school letters in green or yellow turtleneck, dark green sweater mandatory for winter uniform, white or dark socks, a belt, and Docksiders or black tie oxford shoes. All boys: NO tee
shirts with printing or colored tee shirts under school shirts. Girls:
All Girls: NO tee shirts with printing or colored tee
shirts under blouses. Summer Uniforms (Optional) A summer uniform consisting of a yellow polo shirts and green or navy uniform dress shorts may be worn up to the third Monday of October and beginning the third Monday of April.Gym Uniforms Gym uniforms should be worn to school on gym days by grades 1 through 8. The gym tee shirt, shorts, sweat shirt and sweat pants can be purchased through the Home & School Association. White socks and white sneakers should be worn. Hair Styles/Grooming All hair styles for both boys and girls are to
be of a conservative type. Extreme
hair styles are not permitted in our school. Although jewelry is not a part of the school uniform, post earrings of a small and conservative style are permitted to be worn by the girls (one earring only in each ear). Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. Bracelets, both ankle and wrist, pins and buttons are not a part of the school uniform. This includes all rope, yarn and beaded neck, wrist and ankle bands. A religious medal or cross on a chain is permitted. Out of Uniform If at any time during the year an exception in
uniform is necessary, a note of explanation must
be sent to the child’s teacher who will forward it to the
principal. This note should indicate the expected date by which
the uniform will be complete. Home |
